Tide is a major factor. For twintip or surfboard riding aim for 4-feet. At 6-feet the tide will be at the rocks making launching more difficult. At low tides, especially less than zero you will be walking quite a ways to the water. For foiling you will want the hightest tide possible, unless you are kiting and cannot perform a drift launch. This is a great location for learning to kite due to the lack of hazards. Though also a decent location for learning to foil you will have be very careful with finding appropriate tides.
